Sea Breeze’s premier project was the 99 MW Cape Scott wind farm in BC to receive an Environmental Assessment Certificate, which later obtained a 20-year Electricity Purchase Agreement with BC Hydro. Sea Breeze has expertise working in remote areas and has over 140,000 hectares of land in BC under permit, with a further 70,000 hectares in the application process, making it one of BC’s largest wind developers. The company was also the first private sector developer in Canada to receive the Certificate for Public Convenience and Necessity for an international transmission line, which was awarded by the National Energy Board in 2008 for the Juan de Fuca Cable.
In addition to wind energy and transmission, Sea Breeze has active small-hydro and microgrid projects.
